Privacy Policy of Khayal
At Khayal, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our participants, customers, service providers and business partners. We respect personal data and are committed to full implementation and compliance with the data protection principles and all relevant provisions of the Personal Data Protection Ordinance.
1. Scope and application
This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you use our website, call center and other products/ services (collectively further referred to as ‘the Khayal platform’), and through other interactions and communications you have with us.
This Privacy Policy is applicable to all persons who access or use the Khayal platform, including but not limited to users who request for services/products (“Customers”) and Provider of the services/products wishing to provide services and products as well as any other persons such that their personal data is collected, by whatever means, used and held by us.

3. Information we collect
a. Information you directly provide us
We collect information and content that you directly provide to us when you access or use Khayal website, mobile applications, call center and other products, features and services.
The information may include: your name, company name, email address, phone number, postal address, profile picture, payment method, shipping and billing details, financial and debit/credit card information, chat messages, document uploaded, reviews/ratings and other information you choose to provide.
This may also include information contained or related to the content you provide (such as metadata), such as the location of an image or the date when the file was created.
b. Information we collect through your use of the Khayal platform
Most of the below mentioned information collected are not normally linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the website and apps, tracking users’ movement on the Khayal Platform, and gathering demographic information. When you use our Khayal platform, we collect:
- Usage activity & trend: We collect information about how you use our Khayal platform, such as the types of services and products you view or engage with; features you use; the actions you take; the people or accounts you interact with; and the time, frequency and duration of your activities. For example, we collect logs about when you’re using our service and products, when you last used them, and what information, images, services, products and other content you see on our platform. This also includes your browsing history information, searching history information, and registration history information.
- Device & network information: We collect information of computers, phones and other devices you use to personalize your experience. This may include, but is not limited to, the type of mobile/ computer device you use, a unique device identifier (for example, your device’s IMEI number, the MAC address of the device’s wireless network interface), mobile network information, device operating system, internet browser, battery level, available storage space, app and file names and plugins, device signal strength, time zone setting, device location, IP address, language, SMS data and the like.
- Data from device setting (location, photo and camera): We also use GPS technology to determine your current location. Some of our location-enabled services and features require your personal data for the feature to work. If you wish to use the particular feature, you will be asked to consent to your data being used for this purpose. Similarly, this includes information you allow us to receive from your turned-on device settings of photo and camera.
- Cookies: Cookies data stored on your device, including cookie IDs and settings. You can choose to disable cookies through your individual browser options. To know more detailed information about cookie management with specific web browsers, it can be found at the browsers’ respective websites.
- Social media or partner apps/ websites: If you choose to link, create, or log in to your Khayal account with a payment provider or social media service (e.g., Facebook), or if you engage with a separate app or website that uses our API (or whose API we use), we may receive information about you or your connections from that site or app.
- Interacted in another user capacity: If you also interact with the Khayal platform in another capacity, for instance as a ‘Service Provider’, we may combine or associate that information with Personal Data we have collected from you in your previous user capacity (for e.g. as a ‘Customer’).
c. No children information collected intentionally
Khayal does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 18 as it requires that all users represent to us that they are 18 years and above. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
4. Use and sharing of personal data
We may use and share your information to help us operate, provide, improve, understand, customize, support, and market our products and services.
a. We use the information we collect in various ways, including to:
- To provide products, services, features, content you request
- To verify accounts and activity i.e. authenticate users, verify identity for handling requests, for registration of user account and related logins (sign-ins)
- To facilitate payments and send receipts
- To promote safety and security, including smooth operation of safety features like panic button
- Send product updates and administrative messages
- To provide customer service and support
- Find and prevent fraud and abuse of our services, products, policies and platform; to detect and prevent spam and other malicious behavior; to promote safety and security
- To troubleshoot software bugs and technical problems
- Conduct data analysis, testing and research, monitor usage and activity trends to personalize and improve Khayal experience
- Develop new products, services, features, and functionality
- Send or facilitate communication between the users.
- Send you email, inbox messages and alerts on Khayal platform, SMS related to service/ product request and delivery, customer support and troubleshooting
- Send you communications we think will be of interest to you, including information about products, services, promotions, news, and events of Khayal and other companies, where permissible and according to local applicable laws; and to process contest, sweepstake, or other promotion entries and fulfill any related awards
- Notify you about changes to Khayal services, products, policies and platform
- Provide or recommend features, content, services, products, social connections, referrals and advertisements
- Combine information about your activities on different Khayal apps, websites, features and devices to provide refined and schronized experience throughout the Khayal platform, wherever you use them
- Do research and innovation for social good – Khayal also operates as a social enterprise and aims to elevate the stance of Service Providers. We may use the information for research, innovation, public interest, technological advancement and social welfare.
b . We may share Personal Data which we collect about you as described in this privacy policy or as described at the time of collection or sharing, including as follows:
- Transfer your personal data to Service Professional (if you are Customer) or to Customer (if you are Service Provider) for the purchase of products or provision of service, or enabling communication between the Service Provider and the Customer for the provision or acceptance of any services or products.
- With third parties to provide you a service you requested through a partnership or promotional offering made by a third party or us
- With third parties with whom you choose to let us share your Personal Data, for example other apps or websites that integrate with our API or Services, or those with an API or Service with which we integrate; and
- In response to a request for information by a competent authority if we believe disclosure is in accordance with, or is otherwise required by, any applicable law, regulation, or legal process
- With law enforcement officials, government authorities, or other third parties to enforce or apply our Terms of Service, to investigate potential breaches or if we believe your actions are inconsistent with our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Khayal or others
- With third parties in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, consolidation or restructuring, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by or into another company
- With Khayal subsidiaries and affiliated entities
5. Retention of your personal data
Khayal will retain all your personal data and the transaction records so long as is necessary for the fulfillment of (i) the purpose for which they were collected and (ii) of the legal requirements. All your personal data and the transaction records will be destroyed thereafter.
Our information and data are stored and maintained in our electronic database, facilities, servers and back-up servers which may be located outside your country, where the legal protection and standard of security requirements may not be equivalent to the same provided by and legally required by the applicable laws and regulations of your country. You hereby expressly consent on our transferring, storing, maintain and retaining all your information and data in our electronic databases, facilitates, servers and back-up servers located outside your country.
6. Accuracy, change, delete and access of data
In order to ensure the correctness of the user’s personal data, particularly contact details; retained by Khayal, you may receive our request of confirmation or verification. Please feel free to contact us for correction or change of personal data or opt-out from receiving future direct promotional and marketing information.
Khayal provides users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us and our partners at the point where we request information about the visitor. You have the option to ask us not to process your Personal Data for marketing purposes and to remove it from our database, to not receive future communications or to no longer receive our services.
The right to access – You have the right to request copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
7. Security precautions
We have established in place security measures and monitoring procedures to prevent unauthorized or accidental access, processing, erasure, loss or use of the data. All personnel that may access to the data will be ensured complying with the requirements of data protection.
Our security measures are listed below:
- Controls on password complexity, re-tries or resets are implemented to prevent passwords from being compromised.
- Advanced encryption technology is used to protect the safety of personal data (including names, email addresses, telephone numbers, and credit card information and purchase records) during transmission.
- Our Secure Socket Layer (SSL) system will prevent your data being transmitted from unauthorized interception or access by third parties.
- Only the personnel that have been trained with the strict privacy guidelines and procedures are authorized to access or handle your personal data. Such personnel are accountable for non-compliance with the related obligations.
- The security system will be reviewed regularly.
- Apart from statutory requirements, Khayal will not transfer or disclose any of your personal data to any other parties.
Khayal has implemented all reasonably practicable procedures, measures and steps to safeguard the security of your personal data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is totally secure. We cannot guarantee its absolute security. Unless there is proved negligence, we shall not accept any liabilities therefore.
8. Changes to this privacy policy
Khayal may update or amend this Privacy Policy in the future, if necessary. The revised Policy will be posted on our website and mobile applications with an effective date.
9. Consent
Each time you access or use the Khayal Platform, its products and services or provide us with information, by doing so you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this privacy policy.
